A Family Car

Posted on the December 7th, 2009 under My Husband by Sweet Mommy

My husband has gone meet his friend, who will take him to an automobile showroom. We are thinking of buying a car. As we are a joint family, we need a big and spacious vehicle. We have already taken care of insurance and for emergency repairs I have suggested to purchase Mopar performance parts. My husband has recently learnt driving and he is keen to get himself a new car,

Organize Yourself

My husband is a multitasker. He is able to get three times the work done than others in a given time frame. Still he is human and makes mistakes. One of his negative traits is to ignore the detail. He also tends to postpone certain matters which can have crucial consequences. Let me give you an example. My husband knows that it is better to reserve train or bus tickets in advance to get cheaper fare, still he didn’t do so when my family was coming to visit us. The result was that we had to pay an exorbitant amount for the train journey. He was trying his luck with some POS systems.
Second example is still fresh. My husband is going with my family on a trip to London. They are still at the station and have to wait for one and a half hour to board the train. They left home early to catch the 5.55 a.m train, boarded it, then got to know that this is the National Express train and they have got tickets for National Rail! Hubby dear wanted the 5.55 am train to save time and reach London early, but he somehow mixed up National Rail with National Express. Now they are sitting on the platform doing nothing.

Got in a Fight

I am in a foul mood. I had an argument with my husband. The plumber had come to check the leakage in the taps in the toilet. He did and went. He spent less than five minutes in clearing the slab of the toiletries and my weight loss pills, and checking the taps. He said that he will tell the estimate to the letting agency. I called my husband and told him what the plumber had said. My husband wasn’t pleased and scolded me for not ringing him straight away while the plumber was still here.
Now am I that inefficient that I can’t handle a simple visit from a plumber? My husband seems to thinks so. Let him think what he wants. Stupid.

Don’t Joke about It

My husband showed me a scar yesterday and told me that its not healed for a year. I am a bit concerned. I read somewhere that the scars which don’t heal for long time, can be a sign of cancer. When I told this to my husband, he simply laughed. He joked that it is a good thing if he has cancer, that way he will die soon and I will get all the insurance money. What an awful thing to say! But can men understand? Today he irritated me again by humming mesothelioma in my ears while going out for office. Idiot.

Not a Great Valentine’s Day for Us

Hubby dear wanted to present me a diamond pendant worth 250 pounds, but didn’t already buy it because he wanted to make sure that I like it first and don’t make him return it back.(I am not very fond of jewelery).
I wanted to give him a jacket or an i-pod ( I have taken his mobile to use as a camera so he can’t listen music en route his office). But he said that ipods are out of fashion now because more and more cell phone companies are introducing new features similar to ipods in their phones.
I liked a jacket at M&S outlet. It was light Grey and multi-pocketed and for just £ 24 ( after discount). Husband again refused, saying he will buy one from carboot sale tomorrow.
So none gifted nothing to each other on VAlentine’s Day.
